Updates and source checks
Published by CHEN. This log records what changed and the scope of checks. A software test, source check and professional review are different activities.
· Retirement-age, fee and horizon comparisons
Expanded the six existing UK and Australian cases with comparisons for earlier retirement, higher fees, longer planning horizons and smaller or later entered government pensions. Each new comparison row opens the corresponding invented scenario in the calculator. Age comparisons keep the same balance at each starting date, so they do not include extra earnings or contributions from working longer. Added an independent review brief; independent professional review remains outstanding.
· Worked examples and optional analytics
- Published six UK and Australian retirement examples, with complete assumptions, model-generated comparison tables and links that load the same invented figures.
- Checked GOV.UK income-tax allowances, tax-free cash guidance, State Pension forecasts and age-checker pages for the statements cited in the UK examples. The checks did not determine an individual's entitlement.
- Checked Moneysmart's retirement-income overview and Services Australia's Age Pension information for the distinctions in the Australian examples. No automated benefit entitlement calculation was added.
- Added consent-controlled usage measurement across country calculators. Default example displays do not count as completed calculations. Financial inputs and results remain in the browser.
- Added this update log and a resource page for publishers.
· Twelve-month budgets
Added an annual and monthly spending estimate to all twelve country models and twenty-two calculator language versions. Each shows first-year income, withdrawals, relevant tax treatment and a twelve-row schedule. CSV exports and print views include the budget. Read the timing and model assumptions.
· International coverage and editorial disclosure
Added Austria, Switzerland and Portugal, following the earlier European expansion. Country pages link to their own official sources. Government pension amounts remain manual inputs. Published operator details, a correction process and the AI-assisted translation disclosure.

Calculations and content received AI-assisted source and software checks. No independent native-language editor or regulated financial adviser has reviewed or endorsed the site. Read the editorial policy. We will record any future independent review with its actual scope and permission to name the reviewer.
Report an error using invented example figures. A wording change does not refresh the financial rule-review date.
