What can this calculator estimate?

It compares spending, manually entered pensions and accessible savings in EUR, in today's purchasing power.

Use your own after-tax pension estimate. Read the full example

01

Read the pension statement's basis

Deutsche Rentenversicherung's Renteninformation explains accrued rights and projected statutory pension. Its projected amounts need to be read alongside the statement's purchasing-power warning. Check the date, gross or net basis, and assumptions before putting a figure into this after-tax calculator.

02

Add occupational and private pensions once

Collect separate statements for a Betriebsrente and any private pension. A monthly payment may start on a different date from the statutory pension. If you enter the payment, exclude the assets committed to generating it from accessible savings.

03

Plan for deductions and timing

Use net estimates after relevant tax, health and care contributions. The calculator does not determine those deductions, qualifying years, early-retirement reductions or eligibility. A change to the start date needs a fresh pension quote as well as a new date in the plan.

Using the calculator

  1. Collect your Renteninformation and occupational or private pension statements.
  2. Convert confirmed annual net amounts to monthly equivalents.
  3. Test the savings bridge and a longer retirement horizon separately.
  4. Use today's purchasing power for every amount. Compare more than one return, spending target and planning horizon.
