What can this calculator estimate?

It compares spending, manually entered pensions and accessible savings in AED, in today's purchasing power.

01

Identify your own coverage

The UAE Government distinguishes expatriate end-of-service benefits from pension arrangements and explains separate treatment for GCC employees. A residency or employment status alone cannot supply a pension amount. Confirm the scheme applying to you and leave unconfirmed income at zero.

02

Do not turn gratuity into a lifetime pension

An end-of-service amount is capital, not a monthly benefit. Its amount and availability depend on the applicable employment arrangement. This tool does not calculate gratuity or savings-scheme entitlements; use a scenario starting when a confirmed lump sum is received.

03

Choose the currency of the planned lifestyle

If retirement spending will be in AED but a pension is paid abroad, prepare a consistent conversion first. Exchange-rate risk, overseas tax, visas and residency conditions are not modelled. If spending will occur elsewhere, consider using that country's currency instead.

Using the calculator

  1. Confirm pension coverage separately from employment benefits.
  2. Keep any future gratuity outside today's available balance.
  3. Convert recurring income to the spending currency and compare the bridge years.
  4. Use today's purchasing power for every amount. Compare more than one return, spending target and planning horizon.
